This is my little corner of the web, where I can speak my mind. Think what I will and not give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks. So this may be a political blog. Or a personal one. I'll make up my mind on which it will be, whenever I get the urge to post...

Another form of Birth control.
I have an acquaintance who once told to me about having seven abortions. Do I believe her? Yes I did and do. Count them folk. SEVEN abortions.
When I asked why, she replied she didn't want any more children. [She had one one child already.] When I asked why she didn't use birth control, she said she didn't like to. The pill made her ill and he complained bitterly (her words) about using condoms.
I'm more than sorry about what she did. Honestly. How could a such an invasive medical procedure with this end result be easier to use, than birth control pills or condoms? Or less expensive? Sheesh.
The older I get, the more strongly I believe that when it comes to consensual sex, the ultimate responsibility of preventing abortions is in the hands of the woman. We already have control of our bodies. We choose when and where to have sex and with whom. So do right by yourself ladies. Use birth control or don't have sex. It is just that simple.
As for incest and rape that result in pregnancy, abortion should be up to that person and no one else. If it is a person incapable of making such a decision, let the person who is responsible for that unfortunate girl or woman, decide.
No one should ever force a woman or girl who has been raped or is a victim of incest, to raise a child they do not want. If the person who has been victimized is forced to deliver the child, there are many many families who would love a child, no matter the circumstances of its conception. And why tell them about it anyway?
Why have abortions when birth control is so readily available? This is my question to those who use a major medical procedure as a form of birth control. Instead of actual birth control that you can find in any drug store and other places as well.
This is of course, what I believe. No one can change my mind on this subject and many have tried. I believe that condoms and birth control pills are less expensive than abortions. Obviously abortion is a medical procedure and far more invasive than a condom or a pill. And less safe as well. So, bottom line, for me, this is what I believe.
Abortion should NEVER EVER be used as 'just another form of birth control.'
There. I said it. Let the snide comments and personal attacks begin.
