Pollsters...

For several months now, my home phone has been ringing off the hook so to speak.  I have been blessed by the Pollster Interviewers from hell.  And the occasionally I have spoken to someone who is sweet and only cared about the answers to their poll questions and not interested in changing my mind.

In case those of you who follow my random thoughts haven't noticed, I am an unyielding fiscal conservative. So when the Democratic Candidates have their pollsters call to question on me on my opinions of my choice for leaders, I admit upfront that I am voting as conservatively as I can in the upcoming election cycle. I give them the opportunity to decide whether they want to continue with the interview.

I always expect to hear one sided questions from either side.  However, the Democrats have the one sided questions down to an art.  One has to admire the way the word their polls.  Since many of the questions make the interviewee feel like a heel for answering them honestly.  I felt bad for answering the way I did, knowing how heartless the answers sound without any explanation

But, when someone offers out a statement like this;  "Denny Rehberg wants to change the laws governing abortion so that no abortion will be allowed.  Not even when incest or rape are involved.  On a scale of one to ten, ten being extremely disturbed, 0 having no concern at all for these abused women and girls,"  what do they expect a conservatives response to be when asked how we feel about this?  Now there is a loaded statement with no good answer without an explanation.

My answer was 0. There is no way to say that the reason I feel 0 is the best answer is half our population is female.  Plenty women vote.  Just as many men vote and agree abortion should be legal and will not allow the laws governing them to be changed.  It is a waste of my breath and time to explain the obvious to someone who truly believes that I am an evil woman for responding the way I did.

No matter what happens,I explained to the interviewer, between now and the election day I see nothing being said about a conservative politician that will change my mind and cause me to vote in someone who sees more and higher taxation, and stealing from the richest Americans, as a way to solve our nations financial problems. I will vote conservatively.  And as a fiercely independent voter, for the first time since I cast my first ballot so many years ago, I will NOT be voting for a liberal or a moderate Democrat.

I told the interviewer that goes double for Barack Obama and Jon Tester...Never ever gonna happen dude.  Especially, I added, Barack Obama, who I feel has failed his country completely and should be tried for treasonous acts against her people.

The guy hung up on me.  What?  What'd I say?
