I believe...

I believe I am being told I am an extremist.  The left leaning liberals are trying to convince me and my fellow Americans that I am just another gun toting crazy out of control and that as such, I have the potential to become a murdering extremist who will go after their young children.

I believe these people are full of hate and have no idea about who I am at all.

I believe they hate me because I believe in God.  I believe it is because I proudly, happily, celebrate Christmas.  I believe in the Constitution of the United States of America has no "grey" areas and covers everything it needs to.

I believe mentally ill people should be contained in institutions where they can receive the care they require.  And in many cases, they should be kept there for life, particularly those who have shown they have violent tendencies or have threatened another human being.

I believe criminal recidivism would not exist as an issue for law abiding citizens if the criminals were kept imprisoned for life.  If we can't keep them for life, then at least I believe criminals should stay in prison for their full sentences.

I believe the phrase "time served," should be eliminated from our vocabulary as well as "time off for good behavior."  I believe that the three strikes law, should be one strike and you're out of society for life.  I believe in the death penalty for murderers, rapists and anyone who sexually abuses, molests, or mentally damages any child, any where.

I believe all drug abusers who commit crimes against their neighbors to feed their habit, should be imprisoned for life.  I believe any person convicted of selling illegal drugs should be put to death by overdose, using the very same drugs they sell.  I believe ANY American who commits treasonous acts against this country, should be tried, convicted and put to death.  Immediately.  I believe appeals should be abolished.

I believe smaller government serves the needs of its people best.  I believe all forms of local, state and federal governments should live within their means. I firmly believe the Federal government should be leading by example.  I believe the feds should never ever borrow money from our enemies.  I believe the Federal Government should stop paying our enemies off with our tax money.  I believe it never works and it is wasting money better spent at home.

I believe in the notion that our richest, and most generously giving private individuals serve their communities better than the government can.  I believe to tax them into oblivion is morally and ethically wrong.

I firmly believe liberal Americans are sadly misguided and live in an alternate universe.  I believe our liberal friends and neighbors  and their beliefs are the greatest danger we Americans face as they seek the destruction of all the things that make us great.

I believe the United Nations to be the most corrupt organization on the planet.  I believe the USA should seize the assets of this group and rid America of it completely.  I believe the USA needs to protect her diplomatic people around the world at any cost.

I believe in spanking misbehaving children, anytime, anywhere without interference from all these bleeding heart jackasses who are clueless about children, or the police and child services becoming involved.  I believe no child should ever receive a trophy or ribbon for "participation."

I believe children should experience losing and learn to accept it as a part of their lives.  So that maybe when they grow up, they will be well rounded adults and understand you can't have it your way every second of the day.

I believe America is being overrun by anti-Christian people.  And as sad as it makes me, I believe our liberal friends and neighbors want this to happen. I believe liberals think they know what is best for people like me, and my fellow conservatives.  I believe liberals and democrats think I am evil because I am a conservative American.  I believe liberals believe I do not care about others, because I am a conservative.

I absolutely believe anti-American sentiments are spouted by our liberal left leaning fellow citizens more frequently than they are shouted by enemies of the United States of America. I believe the liberal left leaning democrats in this country believe I, as a conservative, am more of a danger to America than any liberal person, group or religion. I believe Islam is NOT a religion of peace.

I believe one of, if not the most important priorities this Federal government has is to follow the laws they put in place. I believe we should secure our borders, regardless of the cost.  I believe the Feds need to keep our nation safe against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.  And I believe this nation should always stand firmly shoulder to shoulder with Israel against her many enemies.

I believe in Capitalism.  I believe in Wall Street.  I believe it made America the greatest nation on earth. It keeps us in cell phones, iPads, X-boxes, WII's and Facebook accounts.  Of course I believe some capitalists are assholes and crooks.  But then, I believe some of the socialists, communists and occupy wall street morons are just as bad, if not worse, than Capitalists.

I believe if a foreign national wants to become an American, they should be willing to give up all the Cultural and violent rhetoric that made them leave or flee their own nation in the first place.  I believe they should accept America and OUR ideals and embrace this nation for the dream she is.  I believe all naturalized citizens should fall down on their knees and thank god for being accepted by us.

I believe we should cease allowing people to come here.  Legally or otherwise.

I believe the dumbest thing America has ever done is to have re-elected Presidebt Barack Oblahblah.  But, that mistake aside, I still believe in the United States of America.

With all my heart and soul, I believe there is no greater place on this earth to be living and breathing.  No other nation offers the freedoms, rights and choices we celebrate.

And even though I disagree with the liberal left on many, if not all subjects, politics being the main, I would willingly die to keep their rights intact. And sadly, having said this, I believe they would not do the same for me.  I believe liberals are sheep who follow their liberal leaders of this nation blindly and without questioning the motives behind their actions and laws.  I believe as a rule, our Congressional leaders are corrupt.

I believe, according to my own government and the left wing liberals in America, they fear the beliefs I stated above.  And I believe their fear  makes them believe me to be dangerous to my fellow citizens.  And I believe if the liberals could, they would imprison or even  kill me for daring to disagree with their agenda to destroy America from the inside.

Under the liberal and current leadership in this country, and their cockeyed belief system, I being told to believe I am an extremist.

No matter which label the liberals stamp me with, there are just a few things they need to know...

First, I believe I too, am an American.  A proud, gun toting, Constitution loving American.

Second...I believe you will have to come with a mighty army to steal away the rights granted me and my fellow United States of America loving countrymen.

Thirdly, I believe, should any of my countrymen, federal or otherwise, feel the need to come after my guns, and infringe on my right to bear arms, they will be breaking the law as set forth by our forefathers in our Constitution.

And finally, I believe, if anyone decides to come for me and my extremist hard headed stubbornly American ass, they should make damn sure they come better armed than I will be.

Consequences...

No jobs, mental illness, bullying, the economy, no one liked him/her, abused as a child and the list goes on and on...

These are all just useless excuses by the media, their doctors, families, friends and the bleeding heart liberals who to try to convince us, to explain away, someones murderously violent behavior, by blaming everything and everyone BUT the murderer.

You want to stop all this violence?  Here are a few of my ideas to change things.  We have raised several generations who have been spoiled beyond belief and are a little bit worthless and convinced their parents, teachers, friends, bosses and the world, owe them everything they have not worked for.

Stop the mollycoddling of our children!  Bring back corporal punishment in schools. Bring back true competition, where there are winners and losers.  Stop telling them there are no losers.  And please, please just STOP rewarding them for participating. Participation doesn't deserve a reward.  It should be demanded of them.  We are raising generation after generation of whining kids who are incapable of accepting they are NOT all winners.  Some, like these recent creeps who murdered children, are out and out losers.

Hey, I know, here's a radical idea...why don't we teach our children about personal responsibility. Let's teach them to accept responsibility for their own behavior.  And teach them that ALL actions have a reaction and consequences.

Oh, oh I know what we could do!  We could spank (talking about spankings folks, not beatings) them when they break the rules on a continuous basis.  Let's not just ground them for a week.  Let us start to take away their X-Box, WII's, other electronic games, cell phones, Ipads, laptops, computers and cars. Why not punish them for as long as it takes to get them to start behaving like human beings and not the spoiled little jerks they are.

If we teach our kids what is right, what is wrong, what is acceptable, what is not acceptable they will grow to be better citizens and neighbors.  And maybe if we did, these violent acts would stop.  Or at the very least, not occur so damn frequently.

And I don't for one moment believe that banning this gun or that ammunition will make a damn bit of difference to these freaks.  They will continue to steal the weapons from law abiding citizens to do their violence against the most helpless among us.

Every teacher in this nation should be trained, licensed and have access to a loaded handgun with armor piercing rounds at all times.

No one should be allowed to enter a school who is not attending, teaching, cleaning, or working the office before, during or after school hours.  Not even a parent who is picking up a child who has become ill at school should be allowed inside the premises.  The child should be escorted to a gate, ID should be requested, the child should go home with mom or dad.

When we all accept that our behavior influences our children, if we were to actually accept responsibility for the asinine behavior of our children, and the sometimes dreadful parenting choices we have made, then maybe these kids will grow up, learn and accept the world does NOT revolve around them.

Parents need to start acting as parents first. Parents should be the disciplinarians.  Not their childs friend.

And perhaps, when these kids do not get their way, they will be able to cope with their disappointment and anger. If they were to learn these hard lessons young, maybe when they are older, they won't steal guns from their neighbors, family and friends, then go out to murder someones child.

Even free speech has limits...

This was MSN's question of the day today..

"Should the US prosecute for obscene or menacing Facebook posts & tweets?"

Some 60% said no. (at the time I was on MSN)  I think that response is appalling. Apparently these people don't get it.

Being threatened on the web, which I have not been, has to be frightening.  Probably more so when you don't know who it is that is trying to ruin your day...or your life.  I can only imagine, it is worse if it is someone you know and used to care for.  So for what it's worth, here are my thoughts on the subject...

I think even free speech has some limits.  Whether anonymously on the web, face to face or anonymously in a crowd or a mob, you CANNOT threaten, harass, photo shop a disgusting picture, or stalk another person.  Period.  Pretty simple.  And a very basic rule.

I believe if we can prosecute someone for stalking and making terrorist threats in the "real world,"  then we can certainly prosecute the same type of behavior on the web.  After all, the idiot is doing it in a public forum, where privacy doesn't truly exist.  So honestly, what is the difference if it is done on the street outside your door, or on the web,  inside your computer?

The right to freedom of speech is so precious to most Americans.  And it is guaranteed by the United States Constitution.  But true freedom of speech, is so much different from harassing some one to the point they want to run away and hide from the world, just to feel safe from your asinine, cruel and frightening behavior.

Stalking is stalking.  Bullying is bullying.  Photo shopping someones face into a pornographic photo is just wrong. Threatening someone is threatening them.  Even if it is on Facebook, My Space, or any other social networking site,  anywhere on the Internet.  And by the way, just because you are a teenager, does not make it acceptable behavior.

When one person makes the other person feel as if they are in danger, fearful for their life, or no longer safe to live their life fully and openly, it is no longer "free speech." It is harassment.  It is threatening.  And it is illegal.  Even, dare I say it,  on the web.

Bullying, harassing, photo shopping a nasty picture of someone, or threatening someone on the web, all  while claiming it is your "right to free speech," is morally and ethically wrong.  It is just another excuse for you to get away with trying to make some other person else as miserable as you are.  It is another way for you to excuse your vile, foul, disgusting behavior.  When there is no excuse for it at all.

It is a lie.  It is wrong.  If this is what you think it means to exercise your "right to freedom of speech,"  you are not only "misguided" (I am being nice here,) you are intensely stupid.  And particularly if you believe it is "okay" or even an acceptable behavior on your part.

If you harass someone to a point where they contemplate suicide to get away from you, or, God forbid, actually do commit suicide.  This is murder by suicide.  You should go to prison for the rest of your life for this crime.  I don't care how old, or young, you are.  Murder is murder.  The fact that you "didn't think this would happen," makes no difference to me at all.

So, if you can't control your bullying, harassing, harrying or threatening behavior, we on the receiving end, may have to do it for you.  By whatever means at our disposal...And because you are such a jack ass with your completely immature view of life and the world around you, I want to help you understand.  For us, "any means at our disposal," means legally.  Yes. Really.  You see, the rest of us aren't even close to being as stupid and vicious as you are.

America has not spoken...

(I posted this Wednesday after the election, on Facebook in response to a liberal friends misunderstanding of the facts...)

"A friend said to me last night, election night, "America has spoken." She's only partially right. 1/3 of America spoke. 1/3 of America voted for Romney.  The other third who were eligible to vote, did not bother to do so.

The third of us Americans who work tirelessly to support the other 2/3's were overwhelmed by the blind "gimme all the free stuff" adoration of an un-informed public and a biased media who has been lying to them for years.

So she is wrong.  No, America has not spoken...A small segment of the population spoke. Too bad the others couldn't be bothered to find the truth for themselves and or register to vote...
Our jobs will continue to leave by the thousands to countries that suppress their citizens by whatever means necessary. Our people will continue to be murdered in the name of Allah. This Presidebt will continue to fund "green" businesses that are known to be complete failures and incapable of delivering the goods.  Kind of like the man himself.
The workers of this nation will continue to hemorrhage money to pay more and more taxes which will go to pay for this administrations socialist agenda.
The health care system will now be run by ignorant, moronic federal bureaucrats who are inept and incapable of making an informed decision on their own health care, let alone yours or mine.
The Unions will maintain the most incompetent teachers.  And will continue to make excuses as to why they cannot teach our children to read or write or do basic math.  And their unearned wages will steadily climb, as will our taxes as we struggle to pay for their ignorance and all this is done while they dumb down our children into little herds of brainwashed ignorant liberal lazy good for nothing sheep.
And all the while, this administration will be tooting their horn, bragging about how "good" we have it because the rich are now the poor. And the poor are even worse off than they were last year and the year before that...But they will keep demanding more and more "free" stuff.  Without even recognizing or accepting that he who "giveth you free stuff," can also "taketh away your free stuff."   Not just "the rich" will suffer.  Anyone who has been given something for nothing will suffer right along with the rest of America.
And of course, Obama will continue to dodge his responsibility by blaming everyone but the liberals. Which is pretty much everyone else in the country, for all the problems he cannot fix by throwing money we do not have at them.

So, of course it will be the Independents, Conservatives, Tea Party Patriots, Libertarians, Constitutionalists and Republicans fault."  After all, they are not falling into line with his "noble" policy of thieving from everyone who works for a living to pay for the people who cannot be bothered to even try to take care of themselves...

One thing that just pisses me off...

Big mouth actors need to shut up and act.  Please do us all a favor and don't speak out until you understand what it is you are complaining about.  Do your due diligence.  Research what the candidates actually said and what they really stand for.

Soooo, Connie Britton, another obscure middle aged actress (New series Nashville) wrote an op ed in some irrelevant magazine,  (I think she is looking to keep herself relevant in the Hollywood that mostly dismisses older women,) is ripping Mitt Romney because of his liking for a saying.  Who is she?  Who is listening to her?  Sorry to all these actors out there who think many of their fans may want to hear their mouths flapping about politics, we really don't.

I don't care about your political affiliations.  I pay to see you act.  That's it.  And one by one, your political activism, snide remarks, and demeaning of others, (mostly us conservatives,) without a real knowledge of the situation most underpaid women really live in, pisses me off to no end.

So once again, here I am adding another actor, Miss Britton, in this case, to the ever lengthening list of actors and actresses I no longer watch regardless of the film or TV show they are in.  I find most of them to be uninformed and in some cases, so offensive to my conservative self.

I think it is ironic how many of these "informed" women get so upset about Candidate Romney's political positions, when they are actually living with the most blatant pay and sexual discrimination imaginable.  They know if they complain, NO ONE will hire them. They will be labeled as "difficult to work with," or they will be black listed and unable to find work in the industry.

This part of our society, Hollywood, is infamous for its demeaning portrayal of women.  It is a place where most women have to be young, with man made boobs, butts and faces in order to be hired just to take most of their clothes off to make a living.

And by the way, most of these female actors who are so offended by Romney and his stand on the Lily Ledbetter Act, are hired, ins many cases, for less than half the amount "the Hollywood establishment" pays many of the males in the same industry.

How hypocritical of them to bitch about the "underpaid women" when they can't even get the same money the guys get for working in the same movie as the other lead.  Hollywood, where the view of a penis is given an X rating, while a view of breasts is given a PG or R rating.

Okay ladies in Hollywood, pull your heads out of your asses.  When you get equal pay for your job, maybe the rest of us under paid peons out in the real world will get paid as men are paid. After all you know how the rest of the country follows, with bated breath, the shining example you Hollywood types set for us all. ..

Pollsters...

For several months now, my home phone has been ringing off the hook so to speak.  I have been blessed by the Pollster Interviewers from hell.  And the occasionally I have spoken to someone who is sweet and only cared about the answers to their poll questions and not interested in changing my mind.

In case those of you who follow my random thoughts haven't noticed, I am an unyielding fiscal conservative. So when the Democratic Candidates have their pollsters call to question on me on my opinions of my choice for leaders, I admit upfront that I am voting as conservatively as I can in the upcoming election cycle. I give them the opportunity to decide whether they want to continue with the interview.

I always expect to hear one sided questions from either side.  However, the Democrats have the one sided questions down to an art.  One has to admire the way the word their polls.  Since many of the questions make the interviewee feel like a heel for answering them honestly.  I felt bad for answering the way I did, knowing how heartless the answers sound without any explanation

But, when someone offers out a statement like this;  "Denny Rehberg wants to change the laws governing abortion so that no abortion will be allowed.  Not even when incest or rape are involved.  On a scale of one to ten, ten being extremely disturbed, 0 having no concern at all for these abused women and girls,"  what do they expect a conservatives response to be when asked how we feel about this?  Now there is a loaded statement with no good answer without an explanation.

My answer was 0. There is no way to say that the reason I feel 0 is the best answer is half our population is female.  Plenty women vote.  Just as many men vote and agree abortion should be legal and will not allow the laws governing them to be changed.  It is a waste of my breath and time to explain the obvious to someone who truly believes that I am an evil woman for responding the way I did.

No matter what happens,I explained to the interviewer, between now and the election day I see nothing being said about a conservative politician that will change my mind and cause me to vote in someone who sees more and higher taxation, and stealing from the richest Americans, as a way to solve our nations financial problems. I will vote conservatively.  And as a fiercely independent voter, for the first time since I cast my first ballot so many years ago, I will NOT be voting for a liberal or a moderate Democrat.

I told the interviewer that goes double for Barack Obama and Jon Tester...Never ever gonna happen dude.  Especially, I added, Barack Obama, who I feel has failed his country completely and should be tried for treasonous acts against her people.

The guy hung up on me.  What?  What'd I say?

Tweets calling for the assassination of a presidential candidate

http://www.infowars.com/obama-supporters-continue-threats-to-riot-assassinate-romney/

I wonder how it would be taken, should I, a white conservative, let my fingers do the talking and tweet and text, (stupidly I believe) a threat to assassinate the sitting President of the United States.  I think the Secret Service would find me, arrest me, toss me into prison and lose the keys for twenty or thirty years.

How the standards differ for conservatives and liberals. I believe it is considered racially and politically incorrect and at the very least, by liberals to be unimportant that the next president of the United States of America is being threatened with death by their fellow Oblahblah loving idiots. Sometimes I just can't believe the things that are sent into the world...

What I do believe, is what I am pissed off about is the utter lack of concern of liberals for the rights and safety of a fellow human being.  But since they believe abortions should be legal up to the moment labor the babies head pops out, I shouldn't be totally surprised.

Whether the person is politically left or right, black or white, Republican or Democrat, he does not deserve to be threatened with assassination. Nor should anyone threaten harm to his family.  This is such a classless and clueless behavior.  These hate filled people have no concept of how the rest of us see them.  These people are disgusting and should be punished .  And I have the perfect way to do it.

These dick-less little nothings gleefully hiding behind technology to make their threats of violence toward a presidential candidate (or any other human being) should be arrested, tried, convicted and sent to prison.  An example should be made of them. I think the loss of a digit or two should make them think again...don't you?

I would suggest there should be a prison just for these finger-less tweeters who say they will themselves assassinate Mitt Romney and or his family members, or even call for someone else to do the deed.  Then, the rest of their fingers should be at risk of being removed for their misdeeds while incarcerated.

What?  You don't like my solution to the threatening tweets and texts?  Is it too harsh?  Oh dear.  Are you offended?!  Too fucking bad.  Pull your liberal head out of your ass.  Because anyone with an ounce of humanity in them will get it.

Besides, I don't think the loss of a few fingers is near as harsh as calling for or murdering another human being.

I just read a conversation between a conservative man and a liberal woman.  It was quite polite.  Which I must admit surprised me. How I admire the attempt of this very conservative man to explain the reality of our nations situation to a liberal.

I have to wonder tho...who actually believes you can explain the truth to someone who seems to have no real sense of the issues we face in this country?

Many of my liberal friends do not recognize a 16 trillion dollar debt as a problem. They believe the outright lies and half truths perpetuated by this administration.

I wanted to butt in to the conversation and ask one question. "My dear man, do you really believe anything you say, even the truth backed by data and facts, will change their minds?"  I know nothing a liberal says will change my mind to come close to believing what they espouse.

The liberals I know personally absolutely do not believe the current President is divisive.  They see what he wants to do as "the right thing for the poor of this country."  And they do not see him insisting on perpetuating failed policies for another four years as anything but what needs to get done to improve their way of life.

They do not see the cover ups and the "pay offs to green industries" as anything but a FOX News 'made up' story.  They cannot see the some if not all Unions are now obsolete.  Nor do they see the damage some of these Unions, such as the teachers unions are doing to our economy by holding our public schools up for ransom every time some crappy teacher gets called on the carpet. They act to improve their lot in life at the expense of our children.
And salary increases, by the way, that many do not deserve based on their job current job performance. These job busting unions are gleefully cheered on by this president to secure their votes.

My liberal acquaintances do not believe he wants to redistribute the wealth of this nation, even tho he is actively preaching how bad, greedy and horrible the successful and rich of this are as people. Even tho the proof is all over the media for them all to see.  They see this governmental theft as a justified act.  Too bad they won't see a dime of the money Presidebt Oblahblah will steal from the rich should he be reelected. ( I'm sure he will give it to the industries that are supporting him in the upcoming election.)

The liberals I speak with about politics, see us conservatives as all and more of the following;
"We are considered to be evil, bigoted, lowering the taxes on only the rich, hate filled, war mongering,  repealers of all regulations put in place for safety, we want all women to die of botched, illegal abortions on the steps of a hospital that doesn't exist,  we don't care whether the poor live well and own homes they cannot afford, we are the rapers and pillagers of our natural resources, making all and sundry breathe the polluted air and drink the polluted water, God loving, gun toting, backwards, ignorant Bible reading, may all you poor, defenseless down trodden, living on welfare starve to death" kinds of people.

Of course these are just some of the biggest myths about us conservatives, aren't they? The reality of who we are is so different from the perceptions and the lies perpetuated by the Oblahblah loving media.

We just want to keep as much of what we earn as possible.  As Dennis Miller said some time ago, "I don't mind helping the helpless. I don't want to help the clueless."  We don't want to be forced to help those who refuse to help themselves.  We believe charity should be a choice., and not forced on us by a Federal government that cannot even balance the nations checkbook.

As for my conservative perspective of liberals?  I believe they are misinformed, and sadly, just plain misguided.

Liberal Tolerance

I read something today that set me off into a ranting rage as I paced around my house resisting the urge to curse
(there are small children in the house) the viciousness of some liberals in this country for their amazing (and not in a good way) ability to accept their verbal, Twitter, Facebook  blogging, "media" reporting of the threats of physical abuse and damage to property.

What the hell?  When did threats of violence and harm to their conservative neighbors become acceptable for Democrats and liberals so easy to embrace and accept? Talk about the mob mentality.

How can it be that this mindset is considered absolutely unacceptable behavior for us conservatives out there. But this is just fine for some of these liberals who are supporting the reelection of Presidebt Oblahblah?

This particular blogger/reporter wrote about the response to the potential win for the Romney Ryan ticket in Twitter verse, and reported on just how many liberal Tweets were threatening toward the Romney family,  Romney/Ryan supporters, other vocal conservatives, Republican politicians and their supporters.  Even against some of the most treasured symbols of this country.  Including the Whitehouse.

I want to say to the person who threatened to "defecate on the Whitehouse lawn, should Romney win;"
"Please God, I hope you try.  Oh do please try.  I can only hope and pray the Secret Service will treat you like the stupid moronic society reject you are.  Honestly, I must admit to having high hopes they get the opportunity draw their guns and shoot your testicles off as you dangle your bare butt over the beautifully manicured lawn of the Presidential residence. (Do you even have testicles???)

I must admit to doubting you the testosterone required to actually show up and shit on the Whitehouse lawn. No, it takes guts for you hide behind your Twitter identity and make threats toward others.  You totally lack testicles.  Or you lack ovaries.  Seriously?  Come on. Defecating on the Whitehouse lawn?  Wow.

Now that we all recognize from your tweeting that you lack everything that would make you a decent honorable human being anyone would want to know, you should really get the first clue on how to be a human being in America.

The inability to care for another human seems to be missing in many of these constantly tweeting people.  These admitted liberal people who are hiding behind the anonymity of Internet to make their threats of violence toward the Romney and Ryan families, national monuments and their conservative neighbors, should face ostracism by their fellow liberals.  They shame you all.

People who threaten to burn down the Whitehouse or defecate on its lawn, or threatens to hit, threatens to kill a Presidential candidate and or their family, anyone who threatens destruction to someones private, or the publics property for that matter, should be condemned by every American in this country.  Regardless of which political affiliation is claimed!

Sadly, threats against others seem to be completely acceptable to liberals and their left wing media pals. Of course, if you are a liberal, left wing nut or the current President of the United States, you shoe yourselves to be openly embracing, and even applauding those who threaten harm to others.  Really?  And this makes your point and belief system somehow so much more special when you want to hit or do damage property or kill another human being?

If a conservative dares to disagree, you can be sure they will be punished.  Some how. Some way. The liberals would like to see us roasted on a spit for saying the same things against the Presidebt or his family. Burned at the stake. Hung. Drawn and quartered. Shot to death un-blindfolded at dawn in the town square.  Given a lethal injection. Put in stocks in the town square so liberals may stone us publicly. Because of course, from the warped and twisted perception of the universe these people reside in, we conservatives don't deserve to live and breathe your air.

So congrats to the tweeter for threatening to punch Taggart Romney in the face if his dad is elected.  Congratulations for wanting to murder Mitt Romney.  Congratulations for wanting to burn down the Whitehouse.

Oh yeah, and to that liberal Tweeter with the feces fetish... Dude!  You are so awesome!  An extra special shout of congrats out to you and your creative way of protesting Romney's win...Apparently hoping to destroy, murder families, to wreck the lives and defecate on the property of others is your liberal bliss.

I am certain you must be very very proud of yourselves.  Congratulations to all you models of acceptance and tolerance.  Congratulations to all you liberals every where in the nation for losing the last shred of common courtesy and human decency you possessed.  Congratulations to you for sitting back and saying nothing.  Doing nothing to stop the assholes out there threatening others. You rock!

Really, these must be your proudest moments ever...

Double U Casino

Double U Casino...One of my favorite sites...Enjoy!

Please, no more hope and change..

I had so much hope four years ago.  While I didn't believe a word Presidebt Oblahblah said then, and did not vote for him, I honestly hoped he would choose to do right by the people of this nation.

Instead, he wasted our money on a garbage health care plan.  On so called "green energy" non-existent technology and jobs.  His stimulus package was and is, an unmitigated disaster.

These Obama supporters who are allegedly "jumping ship" completely missed the truth of who he was four years ago.  They seem so surprised by his inaction.  Seriously? How could you be so surprised when he told "Joe the Plumber" exactly who he was and what he was going to do to this nation.  This president is one of, if not the MOST divisive person in this country.

He was then and is now, a typical "say ANYTHING, (true or not,) to get elected" politician.  I didn't trust him then.  I trust him even less now.  He opens his mouth and the same failed policies from these past four years fall from his "golden tongue" and all of his supporters still think he can fix everything wrong by doing the same old thing.  Really?

I believe, (actually I have no doubt,) if we want to survive as a nation, with our freedoms and constitution intact, we have no choice but to replace this administration.  Preferably with one that is willing to make the hard choices for the betterment of this country.  (Regardless of whether Oblahblah's people, the pollsters and biased lame stream media like or support him or not.)

We had no choice but to give Presidebt Oblahblah the chance to do right by ALL the people of our nation.  He has let me down.  He has let you down.  He has done nothing he said he would do.  It is time to replace his foolish lying, "CYA" administration with one that will do what it takes to defend this nation and our constitution.  From all of those, foreign and domestic who wish to bring us down.

Now, this gets me all riled up...I've heard a few people freaking out about Romney/Ryan, and their "alleged plans to cut medicare, medicaid etc...  I have even heard one or two threatening to move out of this country should the Republican ticket be elected.  Ummm, seriously?  Okay.  Go ahead.  It's fine with me.

And good luck trying to find a place that offers the freedoms and opportunity this nation does.   (In my opinion, if you are so willing to abandon your country because you dislike your politicians, you don't deserve to live here anyway.)  Grow up people.  We didn't leave because of the idiot you elected.  We're still here.  We're trying to figure out how to fix YOUR colossal mistake.

And here's one more thing.  For the first time in my voting life, I will NOT vote for a Democrat.  Not one single solitary Democrat.  They have had opportunity after opportunity to do right by the majority of the nation and did not do so. (Plus they support Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and think of these two people as normal human beings.)

I will be voting for the Romney/Ryan ticket.  And possibly any other politician who says they will repeal Oblahblah Care, Defend our borders and national interests despite the petty little whiny "give me everything you earned" left wing demolib bitches and lame stream media idiots out there promoting four more years of failed policies and the worst leadership I have seen in my life.

And that's my rant for this week.

Another form of Birth control.

I have an acquaintance who once told to me about having seven abortions.  Do I believe her? Yes I did and do.  Count them folk.  SEVEN abortions.

When I asked why, she replied she didn't want any more children.  [She had one one child already.] When I asked why she didn't use birth control, she said she didn't like to.  The pill made her ill and he complained bitterly (her words) about using condoms.

I'm more than sorry about what she did.  Honestly.  How could a such an invasive medical procedure with this end result be easier to use, than birth control pills or condoms? Or less expensive?  Sheesh.

The older I get, the more strongly I believe that when it comes to consensual sex, the ultimate responsibility of preventing abortions is in the hands of the woman.  We already have control of our bodies.  We choose when and where to have sex and with whom.  So do right by yourself ladies.  Use birth control or don't have sex.  It is just that simple.

As for incest and rape that result in pregnancy, abortion should be up to that person and no one else.  If it is a person incapable of making such a decision, let the person who is responsible for that unfortunate girl or woman, decide.

No one should ever force a woman or girl who has been raped or is a victim of incest, to raise a child they do not want.  If the person who has been victimized is forced to deliver the child, there are many many families who would love a child, no matter the circumstances of its conception. And why tell them about it anyway?

Why have abortions when birth control is so readily available?  This is my question to those who use a major medical procedure as a form of birth control.  Instead of actual birth control that you can find in any drug store and other places as well.

This is of course, what I believe.  No one can change my mind on this subject and many have tried.  I believe that condoms and birth control pills are less expensive than abortions.  Obviously abortion is a medical procedure and far more invasive than a condom or a pill.  And less safe as well.  So, bottom line, for me, this is what I believe.

Abortion should  NEVER EVER  be used as 'just another form of birth control.'

There.  I said it.  Let the snide comments and personal attacks begin.

Are you prepared for the "deconstruction" of America?

I am in a foul mood and I am going to rant and rave for a few pages...In a rambling, somewhat disjointed and repetitive manner...

So deal or don't read it...Here I go

I see the future even if there are those who cannot.  I understand the desire for more affordable health care.  I understand the desire to sit at home and not work.  I understand the desire to get ahead, to succeed on your own merits.  To do everything you are capable of, and then do even more.

This is what America is supposed to inspire in people; The desire to succeed.

But succeeding, doing well,  is no longer a good thing.  If you earn, it is mine.  WTF!

Succeeding, actually doing well on your own, is unwelcome in this "give it to me you thieving rotten lying, stealing, you're earning it off the backs of the poor downtrodden unwashed masses, you lazy a$$ no good rich bastard" mentality, encouraged by the current Presidebt and his
d!ck licking cronies in Congress.

I understand a lot of things.

What I do not and cannot understand is the lefty loonies and the demolib mind set over the AFFORDABLE ( that word just makes me laugh) Health Care Act.  Seriously?  When has the Government ran a program successfully.  Please.  Will someone name one program the Congress hasn't "borrowed" from to pay for another program there is no money for???

I have received no less than forty two emails from liberal friends and acquaintances touting the SCOTUS decision regarding the Constitutionality of the law.  What a lovely start to the "New" America. WTF!!! The NEW America?  What the hell does that mean?

It amazes me how these people believe this nation can afford another boondoggle of a program, when under 100,000,000.00 people are working already to support the other 200,000,000.00 who do little to nothing to support themselves!  And only half of us even pay taxes!

And now, Presidebt Oblahblah, is denying the mandate is a tax. Um, okay...Even though the SCOTUS says it is.  Okay.  Like we didn't know this would happen!  Many of us hoped it wouldn't happen, but it has, and now we, who have spent our working lives trying to have a better future for ourselves and our families, now have to figure out how to pay for our neighbors health care along with our own.  And to top it all off, our beloved IRS will get to hire thousands more people who have no grasp of the current tax laws to regulate, investigate and otherwise screw and penalize us for their misinterpretation of the new "tax that is not a tax."  Oh Joy.

And now that SCOTUS has, for the most part, upheld this law, I think now it begins.   The true deconstruction of America.

We have bankrupt states.  We have illegals getting our "free" stuff.  We have a porous border.  We have the demolibs so-called "war on women."  We have the accusations of 'racism' because we dare to disagree with the (gasp) Minority President.  You know, that rich black guy you elected...We have abortion used as birth control. We have young people demanding we pay for their contraceptives. (Hey, guys and gals, buy rubbers. Or, just don't be sluts. K?)   We, personally and nationally,  are in debt up to our eyeballs.  We have lost our credit rating.  Need I go on?

What we don't have is common ground as Americans.  We lost what little we had with the divisiveness of a "desperate to be re-elected" man in the highest office in the land.  A man who has no pride in this country.  No pride in her people. A man who picks and chooses the most convenient lies he has been raised on, as he (choking with laughter here)  "leads" the USA toward financial collapse and utter disaster.

And if the man is re-elected and that financial disaster befalls us, are you among those who will survive it?  Survive him?  Are you one of the vilified 1% of wealthy Americans who are undeserving of YOUR money and be run out of town on a rail?  Tarred and feathered?  Or, in the preferred case of the Oblahblah lovers and loons, dead with your hard earned money handed over to the feds instead of your family?

Whether we agree with SCOTUS decision on the (snicker inserted here) 'AFFORDABLE' (another disbelieving snicker inserted here) Health Care Act, for now, it is law.  And while I pray it will be repealed, I have no hope that it will be. There are too damn many Americans who are to used to others taking care of them.  (These people have no idea where the money comes from.  They think it comes from the government.  They have no idea it actually comes from REAL people (and CHINA)...Just ask someone who has been on welfare their entire life, they are clueless.)

The Oblahblah Whitehouse and Congress, yes, OUR Congress have screwed us yet again, by writing an incomprehensible law that forces no less than 12, count them, 12 new taxes on the working people of this nation. And by the way, the working one third of our population only makes so much money.  Seriously, there is a finite amount of money the feds can steal from the workers before we cannot take care of ourselves and our families.

There will always be those who will NOT do for themselves.  There will always be those in our society who believe, truly deep down believe, that others 'OWE' them. There will always be those who insist on taking what is mine.  Because they are lazy, unable, unwilling, incapable, or just refuse to work hard enough to get it for themselves, is not my problem.

There will always be people who thrive, strive to do better and work hard to make their way in the world.  Just as there are obviously those who will do nothing, or at least as little as possible to help themselves.  And Finally there are those who think if you are successful, you should be forced to give it all up to "others."  (pay attention people...that is code for" give it to me now!")

Presidebt Oblahblah is a millionaire. You know, one of the reviled 1%... Personally, I think we should demand he give me all of his money.  I will show him how to make a nickel scream and beg for mercy.  Some one needs to teach him the value of a dollar...It is sadly obvious to me, the man is utterly clueless...It's a tax pinhead...get over it already...

Go shove your head back up your a$$ and figure out another way to f*ck us with more and more taxes, all the way to our graves.  And our children too, they don't need anything.  They can suckle at the teat of the corrupt government WE elected...

Another thing that irritates me...We need to ask ourselves, are the nations farmers going to keep growing food for us when they are forced into servitude to a nation of socialists who demand they be fed first?  With the best food of course.  Those farmers don't need to eat...After all, they grow it all for us...um hmm.

Remember, THIS communal experiment already failed over two hundred years ago now.

When the first Europeans arrived on this continent,  they were forbidden to "own" land.  It was a communal society where one was supposed to work for the good of the many. They had communal gardens.  Some worked the land, some did barely anything.  Many did nothing to enhance the community.

They nearly starved to death. It wasn't until they were allowed by their leaders to "own" their land, that they began to thrive. And that my friends, is your history lesson for today..
(And just so you know, dude,  I can 'totally' see this happening again)

the freedom to speak...

WATCH: NC pastor calls for concentration camps for gays

A dear friend posted this on facebook and I just had to comment...

No matter how atrocious the language is, and in my opinion, this is pretty damn bad...Freedom of Speech is one of the most important rights we enjoy in this country. Without it, we are doomed. As a people and a nation. We are Americans.
Be glad, as I am, that we aren't FORCED to sit through this kind of garbage because we have allowed others to take away our right to say what we will. Good or bad...

While I abhor these comments, I hope people will understand this man is NOT following the teachings of the God I believe in. He is pandering to his own homophobic fears, along with the beliefs of many, if not all, of the people in this church.

Having said this, remember, some of your wives and husbands, sons and daughters, my husband is included in this list, served this country proudly for over twenty years as a member of the United States of America Armed Forces.  Our military men and women defend our Constitution. Proudly. They defend all of our rights. Proudly. The defend us. Proudly.
Just so fearful idiots like this can be heard, sadly, by people who agree with him.

I have no doubt, if we advocate, then demand someone take away this Preachers right to speak his beliefs, we then willingly advocate the loss of our own right to Freedom of Speech.

No matter how appalling we find that speech to be, he has the right to say what he will. Just as you have the right to say you find what he says to be offensive.
And it is offensive. Even so, it is obvious he has those who believe as he does from the "amens" you can hear in the background. Otherwise, why would these folks park their butts in those pews when he preaches his hate-mongering homophobic fear at them?

I have learned through my years, (courtesy of the service of my husband) as an American and as a military wife, I cannot always pick and choose the speech that is "acceptable" to my mind.
Unless the speech calls for the physical harm to another person, it is not illegal. And I must admit, each time I turn on the television, I hear a lot people speaking.  And I find their words terribly offensive. But, I still believe they have the absolute right to say it.

I constantly have to remind myself that I would die, yes, I said die for their right to speak out.  I will take up arms to defend the garbage they put forth, because it a fundamental right of ALL Americans. Even people like him.  Even as he spews his hate out into the air with no thought to the harm his words can, and do, cause others.
So, I will restrain myself from screaming hate in a like manner and calmly tell him, "Sir, you are wrong.  If you doubt me, ask the peoples who survived the Nazi death camps, if they would ever consider, for a millisecond, advocating such a thing as this. Even if they agree with you, they would never call for such horror."

Oh, wait.  Hold on a second...I'd be willing to bet a whole American dollar that he doesn't like anyone who is different. And he certainly would not like anyone who would dare to espouse a thought that opposes his beliefs.

  I guess my point is this;

As Americans, we have the freedom to speak out against those we disagree with, without fear of punishments, imprisonment and or death. To me, this right is sacrosanct.  This, unfortunately, means we are stuck with fools like this man.  We have no choice but allow him to continue to spout out his blatant hatred and ignorance.  Especially if we want the right to turn around and call him out on the foulness he dishes out...

Thanks for "hearing" me out...

A writer I'm not...

I have never claimed to be a writer.  I have difficulty organizing my thoughts and keeping them coherent and streamlined.  Which, is why I am not a good writer.  I find words to be difficult for me.  I find speaking to be more conducive to conveying sarcasm and joy, than trying to find a way to describe the emotions that allows the reader to "get it," without hearing the intent from my tone.

I am frequently an angry commentator.  I find my first drafts should never, not ever, be published.  It usually takes me all day to find a better way to respond to something I don't like.  You know what I mean, without all the cussing.  And I have a lot of swearing to get out of the way before I can post most things.

My vocabulary is spectacularly limited by anger.  Sad, really.  When all I want to do is to express how something or someone makes me feel.  That first outrage, that first visceral reaction is the most potent and probably far more likely to be entertaining as well.

Alas, due to my inability to express my anger and outrage, without cursing, I will probably never be able to be a writer.  What a bummer...

Check this out if you want to see what some teachers are teaching your children...Lies, Intimidation and how to LOVE Obama...

http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theblaze.com%2Fstories%2Fjail-time-for-insulting-obama-student-who-stood-up-to-outrageous-teacher-speaks-for-first-time%2F&h=QAQFse5AnAQ

Whenever I hear of an incident like this, involving a teacher who is so obviously NOT teaching, but rather "preaching" his or her own beliefs, I am a little sickened.

Our children are being taught by people, in some cases, who have no clue what it means to be an objective purveyor of facts.  Just the facts.  Adding to this sad state of affairs, are some of the text books  being utilized by these schools.

The last few years of hearing things like this, have made me understand this one truth:  If my children were still in high school, I would remove them and teach them at home.  If necessary, I would have gone back to school to learn how to be a teacher, rather than allow them to be subjected to the misinformation and out right lies spewed by this teacher.

As a mother, teaching my children how to be decent people, I tried very hard to be objective in what I told them about what I knew, versus what I believe.  Maybe that was the wrong way to go.  I guess you would have to ask them if they thought I was "fair minded."

I know they heard their father and I discussing politics along with many other things.  And we both tried to answer their questions as best we could.  I am aware both of them are conservative in many ways.  Just as Rick and I are.

I think we taught them this by living the way we did, rather than telling them how to be as people. It wasn't always easy to be objective.  But, I believe it is vital to be so with your children.  I thought it was important to separate what I know from what I believe.  I know I did talk to them about both.  I hope I made a point of telling them, "this is what I know and this is what I believe."  Only time will tell if this was the right way to go about the job of teaching my children to be decent human beings.  (I guess you could ask them if they wish we had done things differently.)

I only know that I wanted them to get the facts to make up their own minds.  Really, the most important thing to me, was they knew they were loved.  I wanted them to grow up and be happy and content with the lives they would eventually choose for themselves.

If one of my children had come home with a recording of this kind of "rhetoric" from their teacher, I would have been beside myself.  I would NOT have been accepting, or happy with,  "suspended with pay" as punishment for belittling, badgering or threatening my child.  I would have wanted to take that teacher out to the back of the school and kick her lying ass...Right after I allowed my child to publish the sound bite of her rant at my child, all over the Internet and to every media outlet I could think of.

[Please remember to insert my sarcastic tone here for the following rant...]

She should be, at the very least, reprimanded and suspended without pay for threatening a child with jail for his "slandering" of the President.  And who in the USA, was jailed for slandering former President Bush?  Or even President Obama for that matter?  And of course, as a tenured teacher, she should be forced, in Public, to name every single person who has been jailed for slandering any of our recent Presidents.  And on top of that, she should be asked to apologize to the school and the students for lying to them.

And aren't we just tooo damn lucky this woman is only one of the demolib hacks who are threatening...I mean...um...'teaching'...OUR children how to lie...er...I mean...um...grow up to be honest, decent human beings and good 'truth telling' citizens of the United States of America...

And lest we forget to ask, may God Bless her for doing her job sooo well...

Hi, hi, hi....

I hope you check this out....Many thanks to Mrs J for sharing this...

http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FQR38wbwtQBk&h=xAQHS8Vj3AQGlBquEWPMNrCTfETZxtmzzaQHftulI2SAbZA&enc=AZMjk4B2ifrDOBSbC7EpvFwpB_N13oH-dilrZhQDc7zRJoRrNqXAT-eaDIG1vlCL0GvV7AhOmiAMuAdxJ0V2wbeVIL0pyqLFGAkjZmkSQcSOmQ

This young woman, Kira Davis, said it well...
I don't want to be fighting against the "feminist machine" all the time, just as I don't want to fight against men. I too find it more offensive to have to explain and then defend my positions as a conservative to another woman, than I do to a man.

Mostly cause the men just think I am ill informed while the woman think I am stupid and under the complete control of my husband and incapable of making a conscious well informed decision all by myself. And then to be vilified for being a conservative? By other women? Who should be defending my right to be who I will be? My response to those women is this.....Go fuck yourselves...( if you aren't already)

Just because you hate being a woman, doesn't mean we all do. ..

I am a wife, mother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend and grandmother. I love being a woman. Maybe not everyday. But I love being just who I am.
And I have to say, I don't believe, in any way, shape or form, there is a "war on women" by the Republicans and Conservatives of this country. I believe this war is in the minds of liberal women and men. I don't know anyone, male or female, who wants anything to do with these shrill, harping, nagging men and women and their socialist agenda...

i firmly believe this "War on Women" is a made up scenario to try to help Presidebt Obama and his Demolib cronies get reelected so they can screw my progeny out of the opportunity to be who they can be without the government interfering in every aspect of their lives. And all the while, these so called "for all American women" groups, help the Federal Government, via Congress, the Whitehouse and the Demolib Socialists, sneak through the back door and steal their Freedoms and their very livelihood, from them.

I feel like the more I listen to some of the liberals out there, especially the women, the less they know what they are talking about.

I agree with Kira D.. These groups and most of these women, certainly don't know anything about me. Nor do they even want to try...Because I do not agree with them, they dismiss me completely and them bitch bitterly about MY lack of choice due to the undue influence of the men in my life...What a bunch of unknowing idiots.

If you were to ask a friend about me, they would probably say I speak my mind to the point of rudeness. And I try to be as truthful as I can be. And trust me when I say, all that honesty sometimes has caused me some grief and has cost me a friend or two along the way.
I am a conservative woman. I believe in equal pay for equal work. I believe that I can do it better than the Government can. I believe big government and the liberal agenda to expand it even further are intensely detrimental to me and mine. And to our future generations...

I say get out of the way big government and Presidebt Obama and democrats. Stand on your own two feet and work like I have done...Get out of the way NOW, Media Matters, moveon.org and groups of the same ilk, get thee gone Satan...

Stop putting words into our mouths and telling us women what you think is wrong with us and what YOU think I should do, and even how I should be, as a woman. You do not have the right.
F*^k off...stay out of my business and stop telling me how to raise my children, live with my husband and live my life. You are so utterly clueless, I find it terribly embarrassing that you are female too...

And while I personally do not like Mr. Limbaugh, and choose not to listen to him...As a woman, I don't mind him calling his women followers "babe"...To those of you sad females who object? Don't listen. No one forces you to. That is what these liberal "allegedly for ALL women," like NOW,  groups miss completely...

This is America...You don't have to like him. You don't even have to listen to him. And I promise...you won't die if you have to reach out and change the channel on your radio... really.

One video is worth a thousand words...

Today I saw something posted by George Takei, one of my favorite Star Trek actors, that made me think about my feelings on gay marriage. It is approximately 10 minutes long and is so tragic, and painful, to view.  If you can handle the visible grief of another human being, it is well worth watching.  I will admit, I almost didn't make it through this. It is difficult for me to watch the pain of others, but I wanted to see what this young man, Shane, had to say.

This couple, Tom and Shane, were obviously committed to one another.  The fact that one family could not accept their love, is heartbreaking and tragic and their judgment may have led to this death.  The fact that one of these young men could not even go to the funeral of his life partner, because he was threatened with violence is beyond appalling.  It was obvious to me, that Tom and Shane loved each other.  I loved that they laughed so much.  Together.  The fact that they are both male, is utterly beside the point, they loved each other.  THEY.  LOVED.  EACH. OTHER.  And my heart goes out to Shane at the loss of his partner and they way he was treated by Tom's family.

It seems to me the young man who died, Tom, had sadly misguided and misinformed and possibly embarrassed parents.  For a family not to accept their son?  To me as a parent, this is just so...I cannot imagine blaming my child for something beyond their control.  I just can't.  And now, this young man Tom, is gone.  Lost to his family and his partner forever.  With no chance at all of teaching his family he was normal and was in love a man.

And even more sadly to me, is that after his death, he was taken away from Shane, the one person who so obviously loved him.

I can only imagine the depth of the pain that Shane, who is surviving the loss of the man he loves, is dealing with.  It was that pain that made me think hard about my ideas of marriage.  My perceptions. What I believe about love.  Relationships.  I am trying to understand my reluctance to say out right, its okay to be gay and married.  I have a lot of thinking to do.  And I'm sorry, but I still don't know how I feel about gay marriage. But, I am now teetering on the fence, where as before I was firmly on the side of being ambivalent.

I do believe strongly that the rights of 'life partners' have been curtailed.  I want these committed couples to have the same protections that I do, as a married woman.  I believe that something must be done for people who love someone of the same sex and want to have a "legal in the eyes of the families, private entities and all levels of government" relationship.

Gay couples should have the freedom, at the very least, of some kind of civil union that allows their partner the same rights as hetero couples.  Every one of us, as Americans should recognize those freedoms and rights, and we should NEVER allow anyone to limit or curtail the right of another person.

Not even if it is their own families who are the ones who are homophobic and or bigots...

New Indie Romance Writer...

So, what shall I talk about today?  How about reading?

Okay, so I found this interesting independently published author, who I love.  And while the grammar is not perfect, and there are a few errors with spelling and occasionally a missing word, I found myself laughing out loud at the stories.

Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but for me, this is a rare occurrence.  Laughing out loud while reading is just so damned rare for me.  I mostly laugh in awe ( and not awed in a good way)  at the stupidity of the political commentators...

But, this is not a political story...

I love a good romance story.  I love a good spy story.  I love a good story period.  I love to read.  I love it.  I read almost anything I can get my hands on.  Except werewolf and vampire stories...just can't get into them...Sorry folks...but there it is...

This book I found, by an indie author, is not for children.  Even tho I found it in the children's section, the cover told me it was for adults.. It is called, "the Monkey Jungle," and is written by my "new favorite" author...A person named Taylor Ryan.  A woman, I am certain. And I think, with a wicked sense of humor and an absolutely wonderful and irreverent way of saying things.

I loved this story.  Just loved it.  You just cannot imagine my thrill when I found out she has two more books out.  Each one is progressively better, (writing wise,)  and story wise, well, let's just say I love to laugh and did so many times while reading this writers stories...

The writer does not write really young women, unsure of themselves, and willing to put up with what they consider to be an "alpha male" type man.  I like the stories because, the heroines are  "people who know exactly who they are as women, mothers, and lovers,"  are respectful, yet still stand up for themselves. They like themselves as people, and it shows.

It was refreshing to read about a heroine who doesn't wait for a uber rich man to come and rescue her from a fate worse than death...(a humdrum mundane existence as a poor put upon young woman with an oh poor me attitude and a desperate need for a daddy figure to make her toe the line or, the need to be taken care of by a mean spirited unwilling to trust, man.)

Taylor Ryan has changed the way I see the "cute little romances" I have read in the past.  No longer will I accept these stories written by people who have no true concept of what it means to be an alpha male, or female.

I am tired of whiny women looking for and finding an abusive, controlling, bullying nasty rich man to fall for.  What crap. I want to read about a man who is kind, gentle and when necessary, can kick ass without breaking a sweat and who actually likes his heroine.  Yes, I said it! He LIKES her. And she likes him.

I believe an alpha male, a truly confident man, can accept anything about the woman he cares for, if she is honest with him.  He won't have his ego bruised or become judgmental and behave like an ass if she tells him the truth about herself, or just shows him who she is as a woman, as a person.  And I believe that theory holds true for an alpha female as well.

The quality I admire most in her characters, is their honesty about who they are, with themselves.  They don't pretend to be someone they aren't for the other person. They have grown up and lived a life and those life experiences have taught them a lot.  Not that they never made mistakes, it's that they learned from those mistakes and don't repeat them over and over again.

The characters are who they are and accept this about themselves and, more importantly, allow those around them to be who they will be.  It is a refreshing concept to a romance reader who is used to reading about cruel men with mommy and trust issues.

Because they are who they are, their attitude is one of calm acceptance of each other.  I really liked that.  It was surprisingly fun.  And the situations the characters find themselves in while trying to explore a true adult relationship, were amusing.  Actually, they were sometimes, if not most of the time, laugh out loud funny...

And then I read "Wearing Cowboys," also by Taylor Ryan.  Oh my God!!!  I was hysterically laughing in one scene in particular.  But not because the characters were behaving in a comedic manner, but rather a suggestion he made to her about repairs for her blow up toy...I found it funny.  I could picture the situation in my mind.  It was very, very amusing.

So, I guess by now you have figured out that I really like this author and her stories.  But wait...I'm not done yet...I found the third book, "Poor Phillip!"  and was surprised again...Not a 'typical romance' by any means...

A young, young woman, married to a much older man, is widowed.  Her old husbands concern for her well being, has him do something shocking.  He wills her to his respected friend and neighbor, with the proviso that they must marry and have sex for 101 days straight within one year.

Say w-w-hat?

An interesting, no...a fascinating premise...What do you think would happen if this "new couple," knowing nothing about each other except what the local gossips have to say, agreed to the conditions of the will? Forced intimacy with a stranger.  Think about that one for a second.  How many women, and girls, does this happen to around the world? On a daily basis, I would imagine there are thousands of women married against their wishes...

But, what if she wants to marry him?  And he wants to marry her?  They are strangers?  Then what?  What if they have an instant connection?  How different could their lives together be if they fell in love with each other?  What if they hate each other after the experiment is over?  What then?  What if they only one of them falls in love?  Makes for some interesting questions don't you think?

The way Taylor Ryan answered those questions, and others, made for a great read.  I just love her stories.  Did I say that already?  Yep.  But, I can't say it enough...I just LOVE her books...

Here it is...anytime I can read a book of fiction, and a romance at that, and come away thinking about something I never thought of before, well, it makes me feel like I learned something...And isn't that a good thing?

So,  thank you Taylor Ryan...for writing heroes and heroines I can relate to, for an interesting and humorous look at relationships and what they can be and how they can be.  Please, don't stop writing.

I hope you will check her out...
